Employee Screening and Retention Requirements

As we mentioned at Sunshine Youth Services we value diversity, are an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace. Our candidates for employment must pass a rigorous background screening, a pre-employment drug test and maintain an off-duty commitment to continuously being a role-model for the youth in our care and meet or exceed our Employee Code of Conduct.

 

Our Candidates for employment::

must care about the youth we serve
must pass a pre-employment drug screen
must pass a pre-employment Department of Juvenile Justice background screen which includes a FDLE and an FBI record search

 

Our Employees:

must care about the youth we serve
must maintain an attitude and outlook that acts as a role model for the youth in our care
must adhere to our attendance and tardy policy
must adhere to the Sunshine Youth Services Employee Code of Conduct
must pass a continuous background checking process administered by the Department of Juvenile Justice
must report all employee arrests to their immediate supervisor within 72 hours of the arrest
must submit to a drug screen when seeking treatment for any work related injury
must submit to a drug screen when there is a reasonable suspicion of drug use or during a random drug screen
